A long-established breakdown-recovery operator in north-east England returned to YorPower after an earlier purchase several years before. Its emergency-response operation required dependable standby electricity throughout the day and night, particularly for communications and recovery equipment.

Operation and delivery

Automatic changeover was specified to transfer the facility from mains to generator supply following an outage. Ease of operation and prompt backup availability were central requirements. YorPower coordinated the supply from initial enquiry through to delivery and prepared the equipment for the commissioning stage.

Handover status

The generator was delivered promptly as a ready-to-connect package. On-site commissioning remained to be arranged, either by the customer’s team or a YorPower engineer, when the project was reported. The system was intended to reduce disruption to the operator’s continuous recovery service.
