400kVA YorPower Generator Supports Garment Production Factory

Factory and production demand

ACI Power Solutions, YorPower’s authorised Bangladesh dealer, supplied Sohrab Fashion with standby generation for its export garment factory. Production moves through cutting, sewing, finishing, ironing, poly packing and carton packing before shipment.

Operating scale

• Five cutting machines, 500 sewing machines and 40 ironing machines.
• Daily capacity: 25,000–30,000 T-shirts, 18,000–20,000 polo shirts and 15,000–18,000 trousers.
• Estimated outage losses: USD750 per hour; approximately USD5,500–6,000 for a disrupted day.
• Additional risk: delayed production schedules and missed overseas delivery commitments.

Installed equipment

The factory selected a 400kVA diesel set with a Perkins engine and Leroy-Somer alternator. It provides backup during load shedding and mains interruptions, supporting production equipment and other critical electrical loads.

Operating feedback

After four months, the customer reported reliable, efficient operation without faults and expressed satisfaction with ACI’s support. The installation helps keep manufacturing and packing active during outages, protecting output and export schedules.
