Powering a 200-Bed Hospital in Asia with Reliable Backup Power

Healthcare requirement

A newly built, 200-bed hospital in Asia required standby electricity to maintain medical services through grid instability and outages. Its engineering team specified Perkins engines for regional familiarity, ease of maintenance and access to replacement parts.

Four-generator package

  • One YTP500RSC set rated at 500kVA.
  • Three YTP1000RSC sets rated at 1000kVA each.
  • Perkins engines on all four generators.
  • Tropical radiators selected for elevated ambient temperatures and humidity.
  • Factory testing before release against the agreed hospital specification.

Transport and loading

The customer arranged two separate road shipments. YorPower coordinated crane operations to lift and position each generator safely on the customer’s trucks, supporting transport without equipment damage.

Delivery status

The generators reached the hospital ready for on-site commissioning. The supplied capacity and cooling arrangements were intended to provide dependable standby generation for the facility’s essential medical operations in a demanding climate.
