Delivering a Fully-Specified 550 kVA Generator for an Energy Solutions Provider in Scotland

An energy-solutions provider in Scotland required a generator configured for integration with its existing power infrastructure. YorPower’s UK and dispatch teams supplied a 550kVA C550D5Q diesel set housed in an acoustic container.

Bespoke specification

• Stainless-steel exhaust for corrosion resistance and durability.
• 800A cable link box for electrical connections.
• Additional PMG kit to support voltage regulation and fault-clearing performance.
• Custom distribution board for site power management.

Witnessed factory testing

A factory acceptance test was conducted at YorPower’s UK headquarters. The customer attended to review the equipment’s performance against the agreed specification before dispatch.

Delivery outcome

The completed package was delivered to the Scottish customer with the requested modifications incorporated. The combination of the acoustic container, customised connections and customer-witnessed testing supported deployment of a generator prepared for the site’s technical requirements.
